Texting=Communication

Texting. Facebook. Twitter. Google. MSN. Blogs. E-mails. Phone. Skype.

Today people communicate in ways that a hundred years ago were never even considered. Communication is much faster, and easier, if you know what you're doing. I can talk to my friends and family out of town, or out of the country, within a matter of seconds. Everyone I know is just a phone call or a click away now, instead of hours or days.

My mom may not agree with them, but cell phones are definitely a major part of everyday life now. It's not even that I want one anymore, but need one. Everyone is connected through them, and without one, I feel left out, like I'm missing something. And I am. If I had a cell, I would feel more secur as well. I mean, if somehow I was randomly stranded in the middle of nowhere, I could tell someone, instead of being all alone. Still, my mom won't agree to one. And why would I be in the middle of nowhere in the first place?
